2018-07-14 Roermond

Zuerst waren wir in Roermond. Das ist eine kleine Stadt in der Niederlande, nahe der deutschen Grenze. Dort war ich noch nie!

At first, we visited a little town called Roermond. This is in the Netherlands, close to the German border. I have never been there before!

Roermond ist wirklich eine schöne, kleine Stadt, aber bekannt ist die Stadt durch ein Designer-Outlet-Center. Und das heißt: Laden an Laden und Shopping, Shopping, Shopping…
Roermond is really a nice little town. But the main attraction is a Designer-Outlet-Center – and that means: stores next to one another, and shopping, shopping, shopping…

Irgendwann wurde mit langweilig und ich habe angefangen Selfies zu machen…
Very soon I was getting tired and bored, too. Thus I started making selfies…

Beim nächsten mal sind wir in die Eifel gefahren. Unser Ziel war das Örtchen Monreal
Next time, our destination was a village in the Eifel-region, called Monreal.

Das war schon mehr nach meinem Geschmack! Neben den alten Häusern gab es auch 2 Burgruinen. Ich bin zu der einen den ganzen hohen Berg herauf gelaufen. Da kann man sich als stolzer Ritter fühlen…
That was more my flavour! Besides the old houses there were 2 (!) castle ruins. I climbed the steep hill to one of the castles, right to the top. There you can see me: I, the knight!

2018-07 Mayen
Am Ende waren wir noch in Mayen auf ein kühles Getränk, denn der Tag war sehr heiss.
At the end, we visited the city of Mayen, which is located nearby. We definitely needed some cool drink, because it was real hot that day.
